Do Snakes actually shed their skin?
Others answers (1)
They do not shed their skin, they remove the most outer layer of their skin. They rub their skin on a hard surface to shed it. This process is also known as moulting the skin. The shed skin is bigger than the snake's body because it stretches too much while shedding. A snake shed its skin 2 to 4 times in a year on average basis.
