You can only fix a radiator leak on your own if it's a minor one and that too is not permanent. So in order to fix it, the very first thing you need to identify the leak, evaluate the size of the leak if it's a small one, then it can be fixed on your own else you will have to take to the mechanic for proper fix. Here are the steps to follow:-
>> Once you have identified the leak, turn OFF the engine and let it cool down.
>> There are many things which you can use to fix the leaks, some of the most effective products are, cold weld epoxy, black pepper and commercial leak repair product. They are easy to implement and gives very good results, but don't forget all these fixes are not absolutely permanent.
>> Once implemented any of these products, install the radiator cap tightly. This will also help the leak fixing agents to stick into the leaks properly.
>> Hope this will help you to hold the leak for a while or maybe for a long time.
