There are nine planets in our Solar System. Pluto is the smallest, and Jupiter is the largest. They are (in order from the sun): Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
At Present there are 8 planets in our solar system, however just few years ago there were 9 in total but, the International Astronomical Union decided that Pluto is no longer a planet. As Pluto do not meet the new definitions and criteria of Planets it is no longer a planet now. Eight major planets in our solar system. There are 8 planets in the solar system: 1. Mercury 2. Venus 3.
