For a healthy balanced diet, we must include starchy foods in our diet like potatoes, rice, breads and cereals. It is also the source of fiber, calcium, iron and vitamin B. People always think starchy food as a fattening food but they contain less than half the calories of fats. The amount of calorie in these foods increases when we cook them with lot of ghee or edible oil.
