Janice Haley’s home looks typical from the outside but at a closer inspection, the Orlando woman’s house where she lives with her husband David is quite unusual indeed and also home to two Bengal tigers. Big ones. These fully grown animals are not your average house pets and are massive in size with large 6 inch fangs but Janice treats them with lots of motherly love and enjoys raising them with plenty of kissing and cuddling.

Although it sounds too strange to be true, from the pictures below it seems like these animals feel quite comfortable around Janice and her family and friends and act just like giant house pets. Although Janice admits that tigers belong in the wild, she stresses the current dangers facing these animals in the jungle. “It is not the ideal place for a tiger to be in a cage but at this point in the wild there isn’t a lot of hope for them any more. If there aren’t some left in cages there aren’t going to be any left at all in a couple of years. Our mission here has always been to try to bring people closer together with these tigers – to build a connection and help save the wild tigers before it’s too late.”

One thing is for sure, the connection that she has made with these extra large cats is truly remarkable.
