Although Craig Armstrong and his feline partner Millie are an unusual rock-climbing team, the inseperable duo have become legendary for both their mountain climbing achievements and their unique partnership. Adopted by Craig when she was just a young kitty, Millie immediately endeared herself to Craig after climbing up on his shoulder at the animal shelter and since then the two have proven themselves to be a good team together and regularly enjoy weekend climbing trips and hiking outings.

Craig has an out-spoken high esteem for his trusty climbing partner and readily acknowledges her natural talents. “She literally loves to climb things… if there’s high-ground she’ll seek it out… Generally she does best on slabby routes where she can scramble from ledge to ledge. She’s an incredible athlete but steep juggy routes just aren’t her thing. When bouldering, though, she’s done some pretty amazing gaps and dynos.” They both show that successful partnerships definitely come in all shapes and sizes. Take a look through the unbelievable pictures below to see why this pair of adventurous rock climbers succeed in being such a good team together.

“She gets psyched when the bags come out on Thursday night and we get ready for the weekend.”
